Watercolor painting in the gardens
Ages 18 and older | $30 | Yanney Park Botanical Gardens
Explore the medium of watercolor painting with Kearney art teacher, Kameran Dostal. First, participants will take time to explore and play with watercolor, allowing time to get comfortable with the materials. Unlimited materials and paper will be available to use. Then, instead of spending a lot of time focusing on drawing, participants will choose a pre-drawn plant or flower. Finally, with the drawing, as well as real-life plant examples from the gardens, participants will take the techniques they have learned to paint their own unique representation of their chosen plant or flower. Kameran is a certified K-12 art educator with experience teaching all ages. It is never too late to try something new or get back into a previously loved hobby. Participants are invited to join in the gardens for a beautiful afternoon painting outdoors.
