HASTINGS — William Clarence "Bill" Gressett, 72, of Holdrege died Tuesday, July 21, 2020, at the Good Samaritan Society Hastings Village.

The family has honored Bill’s wish for cremation.

Memorial book signing is 5-7 p.m. Monday at Nelson-Bauer Funeral Home in Holdrege.

Due to health concerns regarding the COVID-19 pandemic, current CDC and Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services guidelines for faith-based services and gatherings will be followed. The Gressett family sincerely encourages each person to decide whether to attend William’s services based on the best interest of your health and that of your community.

A private family inurnment will be at a later date at Fort McPherson National Cemetery near Maxwell with military honors provided by the North Platte Honor Guard in conjunction with the U.S. Navy Funeral Honors Team.

Bill was born Aug. 6, 1947, in Kearney to William Morris and Opal Jane (Vest) Gressett.

On June 12, 1965, he married Terri Ann Wagner at Phillipsburg, Kansas.

Survivors include his wife, Terri Gressett of Holdrege; children, Miki Gain of Elkins, West Virginia, Zachary Gressett of Phoenix and Katrina Gressett of Tucson, Arizona; and two grandchildren.
