KEARNEY — The National Association of Letter Carriers will conduct its 25th-annual national food drive on May 13.

An editing error in a letter to the editor on Thursday resulted in an incorrect date being published.

Postal customers can leave their donation of nonperishable goods next to their mailbox before mail is delivered on May 13.

In Kearney, the food drive will benefit all seven food pantries in the community. United Way of the Kearney Area is organizing volunteers to help pick up food. Volunteers will meet at the post office in Kearney by 8:45 a.m. and will be done picking up donations no later than 11:30 a.m.

Call the United Way office at 237-6840 or visit https://www.uwka.org/ and click on “Stamp Out Hunger” under the Registration tab to volunteer.
