KEARNEY — Kearney Public Library now offers seven additional years of historic Kearney Hub newspapers in an online digital format.
Two previous installments of the Reference Services project digitized Hubs from 1889-1922. This newest addition extends the collection to December 1929. All 40 years of these digitized newspapers are searchable by keyword or date, making them a valuable source for obituaries, news articles, advertisements and more.
The newspapers are available from anywhere with an Internet connection by accessing the Library’s Web site at www.kearneylib.org and clicking on Reference, then on Historic Kearney Hub Newspapers Online. No library card or password is needed.
This project is supported in part by the Institute of Museum and Library Services under the provisions of the Library Services and Technology Act as administered by the Nebraska Library Commission. These funds augment local support for library services and are used to increase access to electronic information resources.
