KEARNEY - The grand marshals for this year's Kearney Veterans Day parade will be Tom Nickel of the Veterans of Foreign Wars and Lloyd Porter representing The American Legion.
The parade will be 4 p.m. Wednesday on Central Avenue from Railroad Street to 25th Street.
Kearney's Veterans of Foreign Wars, American Legion and Disabled American Veterans have organized the event.
Reach Your Destination Easily will offer transportation from local retirement homes to and from the parade. Call 865-5677 to arrange transportation.

Broken Bow: 8:30 a.m. Wednesday in Broken Bow High School gym.
Cozad: 9 a.m. Wednesday in Cozad High School gym.
Elm Creek: 1 p.m. Wednesday in Elm Creek north gym.
Elwood: 9 a.m. Wednesday in Elwood High School gym.
Franklin: 8:30 a.m. Wednesday in Franklin High School gym.
Gibbon: 1:15 p.m. Wednesday in the Gibbon High School gym. Program will feature Veterans Day Wall of Honor with pictures of area veterans. To add a veteran to the wall, contact Linda Brodine at lbordine@esu10.org.
Holdrege: 2:45 p.m. Wednesday at The Tassel.
Lexington: 7 p.m. Tuesday in the Middle School Auditorium. Lexington High School chorus and swing choir will perform along with solos and small groups.
Litchfield: 11 a.m. Wednesday in Litchfield High School gym.
Loup City: 9 a.m. Wednesday in Loup City High School north gym. Program will feature music from Loup City band and choir members, with speakers Patty Piontkowski and Eric Fitzgerald.
Minden: Veterans Day breakfast is 7:30-8 a.m. Wednesday; assembly is 10:50-11:30 a.m. in Minden High School gym.
Overton: 10 a.m. Wednesday in Overton High School gym.
Oxford: 1:30 p.m. Wednesday in the Southern Valley High School gym.
Ravenna: 10 a.m. Wednesday at Ravenna High School gym.
Shelton: 10:30 a.m. Wednesday in the Shelton High School gym. Program will feature patriotic music from SHS choir and band and keynote address from Shelton alum Maj. Robert Mendez.
Sumner: 2:30 p.m. Wednesday in the Sumner-Eddyville-Miller High School gym.
Wilcox: 9 a.m. Wednesday at the Wilcox-Hildreth High School gym.
Wood River: 7 p.m. Tuesday Avi8ors performance of music from World War II era in a USO style show at the Wood River High School performing arts center. Admission free.
